Hi there, I’m Jeel Chatrola šŸ‘‹

I have an M.S. in Robotics Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (GPA 4.0). I build scalable simulation infrastructure, perception pipelines, and reinforcement learning workflows for robotics — from synthetic data generation and closed-loop testing to real-time perception on embedded hardware.

I’m a Software Engineer I — Simulation at Torc Robotics in Ann Arbor, MI, working on high-throughput simulation stacks and RL validation for autonomous trucking.

During graduate school I was a Robotics Software Intern at Magna International, building Isaac Sim synthetic data pipelines and grasp-detection models for industrial automation.

Previously, I was a Robotics Research Associate at IISc Bangalore (FOCAS Lab), where I worked on ROS2 perception stacks, multi-sensor fusion, and vision-based navigation on embedded hardware.

I graduated from Pandit Deendayal Energy University in 2022 with a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

What I Do

Robotics simulation and software engineering — scalable simulation stacks, RL validation frameworks, synthetic data pipelines, 3D perception, and motion planning. I care about high-throughput simulation, reusable components, and software that ships reliably to hardware.

Interests: simulation & reinforcement learning, synthetic data and 3D perception, computer vision on embedded platforms, and closed-loop autonomy testing.
